Gil Hedley, Ph.D., works both online and in-person developing the field of integral anatomy as an approach to the study of human form. He is the founder of Somanautics Workshops, Inc., offering dissection intensives to hands-on professionals since 1995. Gil is also the creator and publisher of The Integral Anatomy Series, four feature-length video volumes documenting his whole body, whole person, layer-by-layer approach to anatomy from an integral perspective. He has authored eight books to date, with several more in the works. More info is available at www.gilhedley.com. Gil Hedley offers the following online courses for CE credit:

  • What's the Fuzz?! (5 CE hours or 10 CE hours): The course is based directly on Gil's most recent lab research, expanding considerably upon what he presented as a keynote speaker at the British Fascia Symposium in 2016, and forming the basis of his 46-city speaking tour in 2017. Several different types of fascia are explored with images and footage from the lab in order to explain the different anatomy and properties of the tissues that lend themselves to our movement function. You can expect to come away from this with a perspective that you can immediately apply in your life, in your professional work, and in your movement practice.

  • Integral Anatomy Intensive (6 CE hours): Illustrated with images from the lab and our culture at large, you will enjoy a shift in perspective on how you view and touch the human body, as Gil takes you on a layer-by-layer tour of the human form. This course is quite distinct from The Integral Anatomy Series which it builds upon and to which it adds further insights.

  • The Integral Anatomy Series (9 CE hours): The Integral Anatomy Series demonstrates the whole body, layer-by-layer, integral approach to anatomy as developed and taught by Gil Hedley, Ph.D., since 1994. On-camera dissection shot from the viewers' perspective enables a visual, dimensional grasp of the material with a transformational effect on one's perspective and touch. Characteristic care is taken for the sensibilities of the viewer and the special nature of the subject matter. Visuals are softened with imagery from nature that also conveys deeper lessons about the human form. These visuals are rare, important, and significantly different from those presented in the conventional, regional approaches to anatomy.

Supervision Group with Liz Stewart

These 90-minute groups meet online and provide a type of mentoring/coaching/supervision for the practitioner. The participants have a chance to study their professional selves and engage more deeply in conversation about SI. Talking is integrative and these groups provide a safe and secure environment for asking questions about clients, sessions, practical aspects and much more. Groups range from being topic based to more generalized. It's a chance to feel supported, step out of the isolation of being alone in your practice and be part of a community.

Liz Stewart completed her training in 1992 at the Guild For Structural Integration and went on to apprentice with a number of Dr. Rolf's original students. She has been an assistant, lead teacher, guest teacher at 4 different IASI schools and offered workshops on integrative strategies to series work as a CE instructor. Liz has studied extensively in modalities that support her hands on practice and has had a special interest in studying group dynamics over the past 20 years with the goal of finding best practices as an instructor. She founded SIconnect an online educational platform and has been a key supporter of creative approaches to learning, especially bringing focus to practitioners who can't always make it to a class. In Liz's spare time she loves to ride a road bike and be with her family which includes her 14-year-old dog, Phoebe.
