Course Description
Reclaiming the PelvicFloor External PelvicFloor Manual Therapy 24 CEU Hours including 6 Ethics Hours
The
PelvicFloor is often an overlooked component to full healing, from chronic back and hip pain to birth trauma, & psychosomatic relationships. The pelvicfloor has faced a psychosocial inhibition that has diminished the availability for proper care. What if instead we brought awareness and empowerment to this vital portion of our bodies, removing the misunderstanding, silence, and shame!

Why work the
pelvicfloor? How do we assess if a pelvicfloor is hypertonic? Hypotonic? What systemic experiences would either of those conditions cause? Can YOU embody your pelvicfloor? In this class we will explore these topics and bring insight to: ~Anatomy and physiology of the pelvis ~ Neurobiology, trauma, & integrative consciousness ~ Boundaries, & communication ~ Pathologies pertaining to all genders ~ Pelvicfloor fascia, myofascial assessment and treatment planning ~ Pelvic and respiratory diaphragm relations and synchronized integration ~ Fascial release of the pelvicfloor, adductors, psoas, hip rotators. ~ Osteo-fascial release of the innominate, sacrum, and coccyx bones ~ Self-care and somatic awareness
